Peter Kay fans are furious after tickets worth £150 are being flogged for £1,770 on Viagogo.
As tickets were released, more than 200,000 fans flocked to the website to get their hands on the chance to see the comic on tour and his London residency.
And now tickets at a face value price of £150 each in Leeds are now on sale at ticket reselling site Viagogo for £1,770 - a 1,080 percent mark-up.
Cardiff tickets that sold for £50 are now reselling at a mind-boggling £1,180.
Furious fans took to Twitter to slam the outrageous prices with one writing: "Anyone who has bought Peter Kay tickets and immediately resold them for ten times the price, I genuinely hope every step you stand on Lego."
Another tweeted: "Why is it so difficult to get tickets for anything these days?"
And another added: 'Where is [sic] Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby when you need them?!'
Comedian Peter, 49, announced his comedy touring comeback – which will be his set of first live gigs in 12 years – earlier this week.
Peter will be embarking on a huge arena tour across the UK next year, with performances in London, Liverpool, Belfast and more.
And fans were quick to flood Ticketmaster's website to get their hands on a ticket to see the comedian in action.
And, while getting in the virtual queue, some fans complained about the wait as one said: "F**k... Just 187,000 people ahead of me. I'm not going to get to see @peterkay_co_uk live".
"don't think I will be getting any @peterkay_co_uk tickets then," a second wrote.
And a third said: "So I’m in a queue, for a queue!!! It let me through on one of them and then threw me out at 10am and started this again. Not cool!!! @peterkay_co_uk #peterkaytour".
As fans shared their frustrations, Ticketmaster tweeted: "As expected, Peter Kay is super popular this morning. To make it as fair as possible, we have put everyone in a queue. Be patient and don’t refresh or you’ll lose your place."
However, the comic announced more extra dates were added on to his tour to help meet the huge demand.
Peter tweeted: "Extra dates added to Peter Kay's arena tour! Tickets on sale now".
He added new dates for his history-making residency show in London as well as performances in Birmingham and seven extra dates in Manchester.
Ahead of the general release, O2 Priority customers faced difficulties in purchasing pre-sale tickets for the stand-up tour. The mobile network revealed they had experienced the "highest demand" in 15 years.
O2 tweeted on Friday: "We’re seeing unprecedented demand for Peter Kay tickets & we know a lot of you can’t access Priority. Sorry, we’re working on it. Please be patient; this is by far the highest demand we’ve ever seen for Priority Tickets in 15 years. The presale lasts for 48h so keep checking."
Meanwhile, the much-loved comedian shared a statement on his own Twitter page, which was from organiser SJM Concerts, in reaction to the huge demand.
It read: "We'd like to acknowledge and apologise for a number of technical issues customers experience while trying to buy tickets for Peter Kay's upcoming tour via the O2 Priority pre-sale earlier today.
"SJM Concerts would like to reassure customers that substantial provision has been put in place for the main ticket on-sale this Saturday 12th at 10am.
"Plenty of tickets will be available throughout the day so please persevere and please buy from official ticket outlets listed on the attached link."
The new show was announced during the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! ad break, with a hilarious clip of Peter carrying a roll of carpet and shouting to a man in a car – which he later revealed had been filmed on a pal's phone.
The Bolton-born star revealed he would be keeping ticket prices at £35, which is the same price as he sold his 2010 tour tickets for.
He said: "With the cost of living at an all-time high, ticket prices are starting from £35 – the same price they were on my previous tour in 2010."
However, resellers snapped up tickets and attempted to resell them for £900 leaving fans furious.
The tour kicks off in Manchester before travelling to Birmingham, Liverpool, Belfast, Newcastle, Dublin, Glasgow, Cardiff and Nottingham.
Peter announced the news via a statement as he said in a statement on the Manchester AO arena website: " It’s good to get back to what I love doing best, stand-up comedy and if there’s ever a time people need a laugh it’s now.
"And with the cost of living at an all-time high, ticket prices are starting from £35. The same price they were on my previous tour in 2010."
