On the football pitch, he was known for dancing like an android ... now Peter Crouch is enjoying showing his human side.
Crouch, 41, lines up as one of the judges on ITV ’s The Masked Dancer.
The former Liverpool and Spurs striker, who became famous for his jerky ‘robot’ goal celebration, said: “I think viewers have seen a different side to me.
“With football, I think you’re so guarded in interviews and you’re taught from such a young age to say nothing because you don’t want to be tripped up.
“But now I’ve finished football, I’ve just cared less. I’ve been more like, this is me, I am who I am.

“I think people can see the person I am behind the football.”
Crouch, who represented England at the 2006 World Cup, admits he felt nervous before lining up with fellow judges Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and Oti Mabuse.
He said: “Football is my passion and playing for England and things like that... I probably had similar nerves doing this.
“Like the World Cup, but at least I trained for that and knew what I was doing! Here I’m like, ‘How on earth did this happen?’”
The Saturday night hit features celebrities dancing in crazy costumes such as Sea Slug and Tomato Sauce.
Their identities are only revealed once they are eliminated. But Crouch insists he hasn’t blown any secrets to wife Abbey Clancy or their four children.
He said: “My girls have been desperate to know so they can tell their mates. But my lips are sealed.”
