Former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch says new signing Darwin Nunez will be 'fuming' at Jurgen Klopp's decision to leave him on the bench for their opening game against Fulham.
The Reds boss opted for a front three of Luis Diaz, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino to start at Craven Cottage and there was no room in the starting line-up for the Uruguayan. The Liverpool new boy had a positive pre-season and scored against Manchester City in the FA Community Shield last weekend.
Crouch says he wouldn't be happy with the decision in Nunez' shoes but says you can 'understand' Klopp 's decision to stick with Firmino.

"The thing is you’re chomping at the bit. If you have a good pre-season you score goals," he told BT Sport ahead of Liverpool's clash with Fulham. "He got four in pre-season, one in the Community Shield, if I’m a striker I’m fuming, I’d be angry.
"Jurgen’s a different boss, he’s a bit scarier than Rafa. I wouldn’t be happy put it that way but you can understand Klopp’s thinking and you have to respect that."
Liverpool found themselves trailing 1-0 to Fulham at half-time following a first-half effort from Aleksandar Mitrovic. Klopp's side left themselves with it all to do in their opening game of the Premier League campaign.
