Peter Crouch 'names' baby boy Divock after Liverpool Champions League hero

For Liverpool fans expecting a new addition to their family this year, there are only going to be two choices: Mo or Divock.

Well, three if you count Jurgen - and if you throw the likes of Virgil or Jordan in there for good measure, schoolteachers on Merseyside could be confronted with Champions League Final starting XIs for years to come.

With Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi both getting on the scoresheet in Liverpool's European triumph against Tottenham, naming rights are sure to be a battle-ground for new parents in the coming weeks and months.

And one former Anfield player appeared to be first off the bat, with Peter Crouch proudly declaring his new baby boy - born on June 3 - would be called 'Divock Samrat Crouch.'

Crouch took to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon to post a picture of his family's new arrival with the message: "Our beautiful baby boy was born Monday 3rd June mother and baby Divock Samrat Crouch are doing well".

It would have been a bold choice from Crouch, but the ex-Tottenham and Liverpool forward soon confirmed that his wife, Abbey Clancy, was not a fan.

"Our boy is beautiful the name is still to be clarified unfortunately Abs not going for Divock Samrat", he then tweeted, presumably disappointing both Liverpool forward Origi and Crouch's local Indian restaurant from which he broadcast an episode of his podcast late last year.

Well, you can't have it all.
