Peter Andre says parenting can get 'full on' as he and wife Emily have no childcare

Peter Andre has opened up the challenge of being a parent as he revealed that he and wife Emily Andre don't have any help with childcare, even when they're both working.

The couple, who have been married since 2015, have two young children together, with their eldest Amelia Andre, eight, and their youngest child Theodore Andre, five.

The singer-songwriter, 48, is also the parent of teenagers Junior Andre, 16, and Princess Andre, 14 - who are his kids with ex-wife Katie Price, 43, whom he divorced in 2009.

And he has now said that raising a family with no childcare can be "full on," especially with him having recently been on tour and his wife Emily, 32, a doctor within the NHS doctor.

The couple are parents to Millie and Theo, with the family pictured in a previous social media photo (Instagram)

The reality TV star made the admission for his latest weekly column for New! magazine, with his comments about parenting shared by our sister site OK! magazine yesterday.

Peter said he had been taking his children to various clubs last week, with him admitting that he had thought to himself: "I don't know how stay-at-home parents do it."

The Mysterious Girl singer further commented: "Both Emily and I work and with no childcare it can get full-on. I think there is often the view that it’s easy."

He was able to be "a bit more hands-on" lately due to having time off work, with him managing to take over "a lot of the bits Emily would usually do" to give her a break.

The dad-of-four however said: "She still shared some duties with me and it was unreal just how full-on it was. I honestly take my hat off to those who do it full-time."

He also revealed in his latest column that his upcoming West End debut in the musical Grease will give him the chance to spend more time with his family than the tour did.

Peter played Vince Fontaine on a recent touring production of the popular musical, with him set to reprise the role when it heads to the Dominion Theatre later this summer.

He commented in his column that "unlike the tour," he will be able to stay at home "every night," adding: "I won't be away from home and I'll be able to take the kids to school."
