Peter Andre says he's a 'happy pops' with daughter Princess' modelling deal for one reason

Peter Andre has shared his view on his 15-year-old daughter Princess' nabbing a brand deal, saying he's a "happy pops" over the arrangement.

Princess has recently signed a deal with Pretty Little Thing (PLT), known for working with Love Islanders such as Molly-Mae Hague and Gemma Owen, but Pete, 50, is determined it won't disrupt her school work.

The teen's mum, former model and Peter's ex-wife, Katie Price, has thrown her support behind Princess becoming a model, saying she will always be there "to support and guide her".

While Peter and Katie's son Junior, is keen to follow his dad into the music world, it seems Princess has an eye on the fashion business, with Pete previously saying she's "got a real eye for style."

Now the dad-of-four has shown his support for Princess' deal with Pretty Little Thing in his column for New magazine.

Writing about Princess' recent Instagram post, in which she posed in a PLT tracksuit, the Mysterious Girl singer said: "She looked so lovely and she loves being in her comfies, so I think they’re great.

"Pretty Little Thing is a brilliant brand and it will not interfere with her schoolings o that’s great. Happy Pops."

Pete has been candid before about how Princess' modelling work should not interfere with school, previously saying in New: "She gets asked to do stuff all the time, but she's just doing bits here and there. Nothing that interferes with schoolwork, I'm pretty strict about that."

In November, Pete jokingly ordered Princess to do homework while commenting on her Instagram post, as she shared an advert for Shein.

As Princess' followers rushed to the comment section to compliment the teenager on her latest look, dad Pete was on hand to give his eldest daughter a firm but fair instruction.

"[Heart emoji] Great. Now go do homework [laughing-face emoji]," the I'm A Celebrity star said.

When previously asked how feels about his kids being on social media, Pete explained: "I remember, I was so scared of them going on social media.

People were telling me not to allow them to go on there, but I would say, try asking any parent to do that to their kids. It’s just trying to navigate them on how to do it. But I think they do really well on it."

Katie, who was married to Pete from 2005 until 2009, recently revealed that Princess is set on a career in the limelight, as she acknowledged the PLT deal.

"She is set on it," Katie explained on the Jeremy Vine Show. "As soon as she turns 16, she's gone."

The Mucky Mansion star has previously thrown her support behind Princess' career, telling OK! magazine : "I can absolutely see Princess being a successful model – she’s stunning. And I will always be there to support and guide her. I know when agents are taking advantage, so I would always step in if I felt something wasn’t right for her."
