Peter Andre recalled the 'scary' plane journey home from a ski holiday with passengers shrieking as they were in the air.
The 49-year-old singer jetted off on a luxury holiday with wife Emily MacDonagh, their kids Millie, 8 and Theo, 5, as well as the singer’s eldest children Junior, 16, and Princess, 14, last month, and shared snaps from the getaway on social media.
The Mysterious Girl hitmaker posted pictures on Instagram of his younger children on the slopes, as well as teenagers Junior and Princess, and told his 1.8 million followers he had the time of his life on the trip.
“What an incredible week skiing with the family,” Peter wrote, as he said they had enjoyed “unforgettable” experiences such as snowmobiling and “riding beautiful horses in the snow”.
However, in his column for New! magazine, he recalled the terrifying flight home to the UK, and said the family had endured panic in the skies as the pilot tried to land the plane.
Peter said they had flown home the day after red and amber weather warnings were in place as Storm Eunice hit the country, and said passengers were screaming during the bumpy landing.
“It was still really windy, which made for such a scary landing,” he began.
“There were people gasping, and I heard a few shrieks, and when we touched down, everyone started clapping and cheering,” Peter recalled.
And their experience with Storm Eunice was far from over, as they returned home to damage on their property, caused by the ferociously high winds.
“Our solid iron gates were warped, and some trees on our road had come down. But we had a lucky escape compared to some,” he wrote.
Peter sent his love and support to those affected by the storms, and said he and wife Emily “felt lucky” they had managed to avoid serious damage to their home.
Despite their scary flight home, the star has been sharing more snaps and videos from his ski trip, and posted a sweet clip of his son Theo on the slopes.
“Little Theo skiing is just everything. This time two years ago he wouldn’t stay on the slopes for more than an hour, this time he couldn’t get enough. What a moment,” he wrote.
He then shared a picture of Junior dressed head-to-toe in stylish dark green ski gear, as he told his followers the teenager would be the next skiing sensation as he uploaded snaps of the family night skiing.
“Something definitely ticked off the bucket list! Watching Mils flying around on this was awesome! She looked so confident on the slopes and as for J… watch out for him on the next Winter Olympics,” Peter teased.
