Peter Andre impresses viewers as he makes GB News debut as a presenter

Peter Andre went down well with surprised viewers who tuned in to see the Mysterious Girl singer make his debut as a presenter on GB News.

Andre, 50, impressed after he was drafted in to deliver the day’s top stories alongside host Ellie Costello and TV presenter Hayley Palmer on Wednesday, with some calling for him to be made a permanent fixture.

Many took to social media to voice their approval as the English-Australian star debated topics ranging from obesity to raising children, as well as the latest on the Phillip Schofield and ITV fallout.

”Very surprised how well Peter Andre fitted in as presenter on GB news. Well done,” wrote one fan on Twitter.

“Peter Andre doing a good job on the breakfast show today, very professional indeed,” said a second.

Another added: “Just waking up to see Peter on GB News with Ellie has made my morning. I’m hoping Peter is going to be a permanent fixture in the channel.”

A viewer declared him “surprisingly not bad”, with another adding: “Well done Peter. You have an excellent TV voice. Hope to see you more often.”

You cannot please everyone, however, and there were a few who did question his presenting the show.

“New lows for GB News. What the hell is Peter Andre doing on a GB News team. That’s the end of that..... switched off,” one wrote.

“What has happened to GB News, stupid topics and now Peter Andre. Time to tune out and take it of my screens at work,” said another.

Andre will have a second chance to win over the doubters as he revealed on Tuesday that he has also been booked by the channel to present on Thursday morning.
