Peter Andre says he “couldn’t be prouder” of son Junior after revealing that the aspiring singer has been snapped up to perform by festival organisers.
Mysterious Girl hitmaker Peter, 50, shares 17-year-old Junior with ex-wife Katie Price.
Last year saw Junior top the UK iTunes chart with his debut single, Slide, followed by his first live gig in the summer.
And now, the teenager is taking a huge step forward in his career by landing a gig at Bestival.
Gushing about his son’s latest achievements in his column for New magazine, Peter said: “Junior is performing at Bestival this year, as well as other shows. He’s going to be doing a lot more very soon too.
“It will be a great year for him and I couldn’t be prouder. He’s worked really hard and things are definitely falling into place for him.”
Adding: “He always used to come and watch me on stage, but it’s his turn now. He will be great.”
Peter is currently in Dubai with his family celebrating his 50th birthday.
He has pulled out all the stops to mark the milestone age and is staying at Atlantis The Royal in Palm Jumeirah.
The luxury five star resort only recently opened following a big reveal event last month headlined by Beyoncé.
The Break My Soul singer was reportedly paid $24m for her 90-minute set, which was followed by an extravagant fireworks display and DJ set by Swedish House Mafia.
A number of big name celebrities were also in attendance, including Beyoncé’s husband Jay-Z, Rebel Wilson, Kendall Jenner and Liam Payne, plus, Marvin and Rochelle Humes.
