Peter Andre said he’s encouraging his daughter Princess' singing career after son Junior signed a record contract.
The Mysterious Girl hitmaker, 49, said his two eldest children - who he shares with ex-wife Katie Price - are following in his musical footsteps.
However, Peter insisted daughter Princess, 14, won’t be signing any record deals just yet, as he said she would have to wait another two years, just like her big brother Junior.
Peter said the teenager has a “beautiful voice”, and the father-daughter duo “muck around” in his recording studio.
“I’m encouraging her to start writing,” he told New! Magazine.
“But it’s early days. I’m letting her develop over the next couple of years, because you don’t want to just be a singer, you want to be a songwriter too. That’s how you become successful,” Peter shared.
The singer said his father prevented him from signing any music contract until he was 16 years old, and Peter is keen to keep that tradition going with his own kids.
He revealed he held back from letting Junior sign anything until he was 16, and he’s hopeful that with his advice, the budding musician will be a hit.
Peter confessed the music industry was “like a lion’s den”, but he’s confident that Junior will be a huge success.
“We sit and we talk about things, and he knows I’m right next to him the whole time,” he shared.
The singer said Junior also expressed an interest in becoming an actor - just like Peter did - but he’s proud of his son’s songwriting abilities, and said fans would be blown away by the teenager’s music.
“He’s releasing material in the spring and you’re going to love his sound - it’s very fresh and unexpected,” Peter teased.
He said his two youngest children - Millie, 8, and Theo, 5, who he shares with wife Emily MacDonagh - will be heading in a different career direction than their older siblings.
“They’re both sporty and quite intelligent,” Peter said, noting that Theo wants to be a doctor "just like his mummy".
