Peter Andre apologises to wife and kids for Wagatha Christie 'chipolata' drama

Peter Andre has taken to social media to have his say on Rebekah Vardy and Coleen Rooney's Wagatha Christie court case, which his name has been dragged into.

And the Mysterious Girl singer even apologised to wife Emily for his involvement in the drama.

On the first day of the proceedings at London’s High Court, Vardy took to the stand and admitted that she regretted describing Peter Andre's penis as a “ miniature chipolata ” during a 2004 kiss-and-tell newspaper interview with the News of the World.

The 40-year-old said that she “deeply regrets” the interview and was coerced into speaking to the tabloid against her will by her ex-husband, an allegation the ex-husband has previously denied.

This being mentioned in court has meant that several newspaper outlets have reported on it this week, bringing attention to the 2004 article.

Peter said he's been 'mocked' by Rebekah's jibes for over 15 years and addressed the situation by speaking in a video.

He said: "Hi everyone. Seeing as I haven't had much of a say in this, and just let everyone have a laugh and whatever, I'm just going to put it out.

"I took it for 15 years. 15 years this has been going on and I kept quiet and I didn't say anything, and I let everyone have their laugh and I let everyone say what they wanted to say."

Speaking about what's going on in court, he added: "Now, she's gone to court and admitted that the story was made up, and she did that because her ex-husband forced her to do it.

"Fair enough, but, put that all aside, and just think how it feels that if a man - or if I had said this - about her anatomy, or a man had said something about a woman's anatomy, and made up something - you can use your imagination of saying something very unflattering - there would be outrage."

Pete, who looked deflated in the footage, added: "But, because it's been said about me, it's been the butt of all jokes, I've took it for 15 years, some of you are going to say, 'Oh get over it' or 'whatever'.

"You've got to understand, what's even worse is it's brought up in a High Court, and the lawyer is bringing it up - having a go at her for bringing up something in the News of the World that went to four million people - and then it's brought up in court, that goes to a lot more than four million people, and it's brought up again. The only one that sits there and takes hit after hit about it is me.

"I'll be laughing about it for a while, but, think about how it would feel if it was the other way around, that's all I'm saying,"

In the caption, Pete went on to apologise to his wife Emily and his children for having to read and hear about his past.

He said: " My thoughts on Rebekah V:Plse swipe to see all three vids. Here I was this morning sat in my robe feeling like I had to say something. Feel free to come to your own conclusion. Just a couple of things first. Sorry to Emily and the children that have had to see and hear some not very nice things. Secondly that ridiculous article yest from the @dailymail (about a certain remote control…)was written fifteen years ago and republished yesterday. To be fair the media are very kind to me in general. Thirdly, you all know I like to take the piss out of myself but Maybe I felt a bit vulnerable this morning. Love from an Aussie Brit Greek @dr_emily_official @clairepowellcan."
