Pete Wicks has revealed some cheeky messages he shared with Carol Vorderman after it was revealed he hoped to become her "special friend".
The former TOWIE star previously said that he wanted to get closer to Carol as she shared she had five "special friends".
The 62-year-old was previously asked if she would be interested in getting to know 35-year-old Pete, which left the former Countdown star speechless.
Carol has been honest about having multiple men in her life and claims it works out well and isn't a jealous person.
Since Carol's reaction to Pete's offer of becoming the TV star's "special friend" former TOWIE star Pete, 35, has revealed he had a cheeky Instagram message exchange with the beauty.
Speaking on his podcast with Sam Thompson, Staying Relevant, Pete said: "There’s been a lot of hoopla about me and a potential new romance with Carol Vorderman – f**king everywhere.
"So last week on the podcast just as we were leaving, Sam called everyone back in for the Carol Vorderman saga, which I then re-tweeted – me and Carol had a bit of back and fourth on Instagram, which I was very happy about.
"It then went into the press, all the press picked it up."
Pete added: "It went everywhere, where it was 'Carol Vorderman linked with Pete Wicks', I’ve been linked with a lot of women but none as fabulous as Carol Vorderman, so I am over the moon."
He called her "iconic" and revealed the flirty exchange with Carol on Instagram. Pete said: "The last thing I said to Carol was 'ready when you are'."
Sam then asked if the Countdown star replied, to which Pete revealed: "Yeah, she went, 'Ooo'."
"What does that even mean," Sam asked as Pete replied: "Don’t know I’m not sure it’s even a good thing."
Pete then teased a budding romance as he said: "All I’m saying is just watch this space, you never know what’s going to happen."
In January, Carol discussed the 'system' she put place with her lovers.
Appearing on Michelle Visage's Rule Breakers, she said she has been having the "best time".
Carol said: "I spoke a couple of months ago about having 'special friends' and it was like, again, the world had fallen in for some people but actually what I found was there was an awful lot of women who said 'I'd never thought about it like this'."
