The weekend will get off to a banging start in Cardiff with Pete Tong and the Heritage Orchestra bringing the Ibiza Classics gig back to the castle. The live dance event will mix legendary club classics from the 1990s and beyond and a soaring orchestra, making the event a must-do for original and new ravers.
Since its fruition in 2016 with long-time collaborator and conductor, Jules Buckley, and The Heritage Orchestra plus a whole host of special guest DJs and vocalists, Ibiza Classics has firmly cemented itself as part of the live music calendar, becoming the world's most iconic classical electronic music event.
Pete, famous for his Essential Selection Radio 1 show and countless mix albums, is at Cardiff Castle on Friday, July 8 and we have all the essential information you need to know ahead of coming into Cardiff for the show.
What are the stage times?
The doors for the gig open at 5pm and last entry is at 8.15pm. The event ends at 11pm.
Pete Tong and the Heritage Orchestra will be on from 8.30pm to close.
Banned items
The following will not be allowed into the event:
- Chairs
- Umbrellas
- Dangerous or sharp objects
- Drinks (soft or alcoholic)
- Glass containers
- Illegal substances
Where to park
There are several council-owned car parks which cater for 24-hour parking. A few examples include Sophia Gardens Car Park, which charges 24 hours a day and costs up to £17.60 for the full day. Castle Mews Car Park which charges between 8am and 8pm Monday – Saturday and costs up to £6.10 for five hours, and North Road Car Park, which costs £8.80 for a full day (until midnight that evening) - its charging hours are Monday to Sunday between 8am and 6pm.
Road closures
After the gig ends traffic will be managed on Castle Street to ensure gig-goers can leave the venue safely.
Can I still get tickets?
Yes, there are plenty of tickets left and you can buy them at seetickets.
