President-elect Donald Trump has announced Pete Hoekstra as his pick to be US ambassador to Canada. Hoekstra, who previously served as US ambassador to the Netherlands during Trump’s first term, brings a wealth of experience to this new role. Before his diplomatic service, Hoekstra represented Michigan’s 2nd Congressional District in Congress.
Trump expressed his confidence in Hoekstra, stating, “In my Second Term, Pete will help me once again put AMERICA FIRST. He did an outstanding job as United States Ambassador to the Netherlands during our first four years, and I am confident that he will continue to represent our Country well in this new role. Thank you, Pete!”
