Pete Davidson has reportedly now come to the realisation that his relationship with ex Kim Kardashian 'clearly wasn't meant to be'.
The pair split last month after nine months together.
It is believed the long-distance nature of their romance took its toll, whilst former Saturday Night Live star Pete, 28, was busy filming the movie 'Wizards!' in Australia, with Kim, 41, raising her four children she shares with ex-husband Kanye West in Los Angeles.
A source told Hollywood Life : "While Pete was torn up when the split first happened, he has had some time now and is in a much better place with it. He sees that they were clearly not meant to be.
"They are from two different worlds, but more like two completely different universes. Pete does not talk to Kim now, and they pretty much had a clean break."
A second insider told the outlet: "“He’s been feeling much better about the whole thing lately and has relied heavily on his mom and sister for support. They know him better than anybody and know the right things to say to help make him feel better. He learned a lot from his relationship and wouldn’t take it back for the world. He has no idea what the future holds in terms of his romantic life but right now that’s taking a back seat and his career is at the forefront of his mind."
The pair's relationship began to blossom after they met on Saturday Night Live last autumn, before they officially become an item in October following Kim and Kanye's divorce.
In June, meanwhile, Kim revealed in an episode of The Kardashians how their love story came about.
"So, this is how it went down with me and Pete," the Hulu star began.
"I did Saturday Night Live and then when we kissed in a scene it was just a vibe. I was like, 'Oh s***. Maybe I just need to try something different.
"But Pete does not come to my afterparty and everyone was at my afterparty. He is not giving me the time of day. So, a few days later I called the producer at SNL and was like, 'Hey do you have Pete’s number?' I text him."
The SKIMS mogul continued: "I wasn't even thinking, 'I am going to be in a relationship with him'. I was just thinking, 'Heard about this BDE, I need to get out there'. I was basically DTF (down to f**k)."
