Pete Davidson is 'morphing into a Kardashian' amid Kim romance, says body language expert

Pete Davidson is slowly morphing into a Kardashian as he loses his signature look, a body language expert has suggested.

Judi James warned that the comedian's usual "goofy grin" has vanished in recent weeks and he appears to have "surrendered".

It comes after the couple made their red carpet debut together at the 2022 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner on Saturday night.

Pete swapped his cartoon t-shirts and baseball caps for a classic black Prada suit, a white shirt and black skinny tie.

Casting an eye over their body language, and how Pete appears to have undergone a dramatic transformation in recent weeks, Judi told the Mirror: "Pete is looking so much like a surrendered male now it’s a wonder he doesn’t go the whole way in terms of Kardashian branding and start to call himself ‘Kete’.

"There’s so much of him missing here in terms of his normal persona that you have to wonder whether he’s now working to the Kardashian style guide manual or if he is feeling too insecurely loved-up to let the familiar ‘Pete’ signature features make an appearance.

"His wild bleached hair has been cropped and his goofy, toothy grin has gone too, with his smiles all so lip-clamped it looks like superglue might have been involved.

"That grin made him look like an overgrown teenager but now it looks like he’s rocking the more adult look of a man in charge of a global goddess."

Analysing how Pete is around Kim, Judi explained that he "supplies all the attention".

"Kim’s body language has morphed from the giddy teen look we’ve been seeing on her dates with the comic to her signature, elegant red carpet vibe where movement is minimal and pose is all as she allows herself to be adored by the cameras.

"She is clearly adored here by Pete, too, who supplies all the same attention and the same glances as Kanye used to, without once upstaging his date."

She pointed out that while Pete was piling on the affection, Kim was giving hers to the cameras.

The SKIMS founder stunned in a rhinestone-covered Balenciaga gown that hugged her hourglass figure.

"She is clearly adored here by Pete, too, who supplies all the same attention and the same glances as Kanye used to, without once upstaging his date."

She added: "Tactile behaviour is at a minimum here, with Pete placing either one thumb on Kim’s hip or some very tentative-looking fingertips.

"He cautiously nuzzles her hair or gazes at her adoringly while she primarily pays attention to the cameras. Even when she does turn to look at him her eyes don’t seem to meet his, landing slightly lower down his face to maybe check the lip glue is still working.

"Most love relationships involve some form of behavioural change or compromise to create a perfect fit but when the change is too lop-sided and too extreme is can be worth asking whether the ‘real’ version wasn’t enough to please the other partner.

"What is the point of Pete if you take away his rebellious body language and his eternal teen styling? He clearly looks like a guy in love here but will he see the re-brand as a good price to pay for a marriage to Kim and how long before Kim notices the smaller details like the badly-fitting tie and the unbuttoned jacket?"
