Kanye West has taken aim at Pete Davidson in a grim social media post following his split from Kim Kardashian.
The Kardashians star started dating Saturday Night Live comic Pete in October, but the two called time on their relationship recently.
In a shocking post following the news, Kanye uploaded a fake New York Times newspaper front page announcing Pete's 'death'.
The headline read: "Skete Davidson dead at age 28."
Kanye, 45 – who shares four children with ex-wife Kim, 41 – previously referred to Pete as 'Skete' in a social media rant back in February.
Meanwhile, the newspaper also featured today's date and the words: "Kid Cudi meant to play funeral but fearful of bottle throwers."
The controversial upload appeared to divide fans, with some claiming Kanye had gone "too far" with the post.
Taking to the comments, one said: "Stop this. I thought you were over it?"
Another added: "This is not even funny."
"Too far," a third simply stated, while a fourth posted: "You have four children. Isn’t it time you stopped being one?"
The Mirror has contacted Pete's representatives for comment.
It comes days after Kim and Pete confirmed their split after nine months of dating.
According to a source, Kim couldn't be as spontaneous in the relationship due to her children.
The reality star and ex-husband Kanye West share kids North, nine, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and Psalm, three.
"Pete is 28 and Kim is 41 — they are just in very different places at the moment," the insider revealed.
"Pete is totally spontaneous and impulsive and wants her to fly to New York, or wherever he is on a moment’s notice.
"But Kim has four kids and it isn’t that easy. She needs to focus on the kids," they added to Page Six.
Meanwhile, it's believed Kanye is reportedly taking the opportunity to get his ex back.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: "This split is only driving Kanye to push harder to win Kim back and have her call off their divorce.
"For months he told his wife that she and Pete were not destined to last. And while Kanye was not Pete’s biggest fan, he focused in recent weeks on showing Kim that they were compatible and a solid family.”
Pete is set to appear on the upcoming series of Kardashians in scenes filmed months before his split from Kim.
