I believe I speak for everyone when I say the Seattle Seahawks’ loss to the Bengals was frustrating. The game was there for the taking, and unfortunately, the Seahawks offense was unable to capitalize when they needed to do so most.
However, despite how annoying Sunday was, it’s hard to not be positive about the outlook for the rest of the season. Yes, the Seahawks had a clunker, but so does absolutely every other team in the NFL at some point(s) in the season. But the foundation looks strong, and head coach Pete Carroll shared his usual optimism on the topic:
Pete Carroll frustrated by the result but said he’s proud of the way his team played: “They played their asses off.” Said this game will help them down the road.

Again, it’s hard to not share Carroll’s outlook. The defense was strong, the offense was able to move the ball, but red zone issues killed the effort. Does anyone think the Seahawks aren’t going to be focusing on red zone offense religiously this week? Seattle can move the ball flawlessly between the 20’s, but has struggled to finish drives in the end zone.
Fortunately, the team is filled with young, coachable players and a strong staff to help guide them.
