The Seattle Seahawks head down south to face the San Francisco 49ers this weekend and coach Pete Carroll provided a number of injury updates following Friday’s walkthrough.
Running back Kenneth Walker III (hernia): “Kenny made it through the week and just walked off the field with him,” Carroll told reporters. “He’s really excited to be ready to go.”
Guard Damien Lewis (ankle): “He’s ready to go,” Carroll said. “He did everything in practice, so he’s ready to play in the game.”
Cornerback Justin Coleman (calf): “He just felt his calf tighten up a little bit and he thought he was fine, wanted to finish practice, we held him out,” Carroll explained. “He got some pictures taken here to validate what’s going on, but it was at 12:30 P.M. So, we don’t have the results back yet.”
Cornerback Artie Burns (groin): “Yeah, Artie got a little work today,” Carroll said. “This is the most he’s done, he’s close. It’s going to be hard for him to play this week, but he’s finally getting back on the ground, running, doing some stuff, and he was at practice today.”
Safety Joey Blount (hamstring): “Joey tweaked his hamstring late in practice yesterday and it is a really slight pull on it, but it’s going to be hard for him to make it this weekend,” Carroll reported. It’s about as minor as you can get, but it did register, so we know he has something.”
The Seahawks at 49ers matchup is set to kick off Sunday at 1:05 p.m. PT.
