A Wishaw pensioner was caught with hundreds of child abuse images.
The disgusting material was found on three laptops belonging to Colin McVittie.
It included 151 videos in the most depraved category.
There were also photos and videos featuring bestiality.
McVittie, 69, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week.
He admitted possessing the illicit material at his home in Lockhart Place between December 2012 and March last year.
An allegation that he distributed or shared indecent images of children was dropped.
Sentence was deferred until next month for background reports and a risk assessment.
McVittie, who was placed on the sex offenders’ register, had his bail continued.
