Pervert who asked "12-year-old girl" to send him pair of her pants for his birthday is jailed

A pervert who thought he asked an underage girl to send him a pair of her pants for his birthday has been jailed.

Sick Stewart Henderson sent sexually-explicit messages to someone he thought was a child aged 12, who was in fact an adult decoy.

Henderson was convicted of a similar offence last year for sending vile messages and explicit photos of himself to a person he thought was a 14-year-old girl.

He repeatedly messaged a woman - who is part of a paedophile hunters group - as he thought she was a teen named Daniella.

Over the course of just six days, Henderson, sent ‘Daniella’ a catalogue of disgusting messages on Facebook asking her to send him her underwear and indecent pictures of herself.

The creep admitted at Paisley Sheriff Court he hadn’t changed his ways after being placed on the Sex Offenders' Register in August 2021, admitting that between July 20, 2021 and August 21, at Fenwick Drive, Barrhead, and elsewhere that he sent sexually explicit messages to a child aged 12, who was in fact an adult decoy.

Paisley Sheriff Court heard Henderson, 54, also admitted he sent pictures of his penis to the decoy and tried to induce them to send him indecent images to him.

Sheriff Eoin McGinty said Henderson posed as a risk and jailed him for 21 months for the offence.

Sheriff McGinty also granted the court’s application and made Henderson subject to a Sexual Offences Prevention Order for five years that will prohibit him from having contact with anyone under the age of 16 and preventing him from deleting any internet browsing history, call logs and text messages on any device used by him.

The court previously heard that Shatter The Silence was formed in 2018 by a group of adults who use decoy accounts using pictures of children who are now over 21 and have consented to their pictures being used.

The group creates accounts and the adults don’t send messages, they wait to be contacted.

The court was told: “A decoy created an account on the app Jaumo, using a picture, and stated she was 12 years old and called Darcy.

“On July 20, 2021, Ms McAllister received a message on the Jaumo app from Henderson.

“He immediately struck up conversation and asked how old she was. Ms McAllister replied stating she was 12.

“Henderson then asked Darcy to move the conversation on to WhatsApp and block his account.

“Numerous messages were sent by the accused as well as numerous pictures of his penis and selfie-style pictures. The accused also sent sound clips of a graphic sexual nature and he stated he ‘Wanted to have sex with a 12-year-old. I’m getting too far in, I’ll get the jail.’

“He asked her to send him a birthday card including a pair of pants and provided his address.

“The accused sent another message stating ‘You’re 25 OK, not 12. If people find out you’re 12, you’ll be flung off. You’re 25, and I want you, nobody needs to know.’

“Police were contacted and two people from Shatter The Silence attended at the accused’s address and spoke to him and live streamed the meeting on Facebook Live.

“The accused agreed he was in conversation with a 12-year-old.

“Police attended a short time later and the accused’s details matched the details he had given to Darcy.

“Henderson was cautioned and he replied, ‘She said she was 25. I only sent her a few pics of my d**k.’”

Defence agent Paul Coyle told that Henderson accepts full responsibility.

Mr Coyle said: “He has a directly analogous conviction but the number of pictures he sent were not extensive.

“When confronted with the evidence, he immediately accepts his guilt.

“Thankfully, no harm was caused to an actual child. He accepts a custodial sentence is inevitable.”

Sheriff Eoin McGinty said: “These are highly-worrying offences.

“It is worrying this offence was committed before and after you were sentenced to a directly analogous matter.

“There was premeditation here and you informed the writer of the criminal justice social work report that had it been possible you’d have gone on to have direct contact with a child.”

Sheriff McGinty placed vile Henderson on the Sex Offenders' Register for ten years.
