Buoyant boxer Luke Bibby is determined to retain his Elite Three Nations title this weekend.
The Perth Railway Club member will be representing Scotland at the high-profile event which this year takes place in Rotherham, England.
Last year, Bibby defeated the best on show from England and Wales in Cardiff.
“I’ve been living in the gym, getting up and going to Glasgow every day,” Bibby said of his preparations.
“I knew the Elite Three Nations was my next goal so I’ve been focusing on that.
“I’m the reigning champ so I want to go back-to-back. That is quite rare.
“I know I can beat anyone who is put in front of me. Another win here would set me up perfectly going into the summer.”
Bibby has been in strong form this year and, last month, defeated Olympian Enrico Lacruz in the Netherlands.
“I had been in Madrid on a training camp, then Amsterdam for a dual match with the Netherlands where I beat an Olympian,” Bibby told the PA.
“That was a massive confidence boost for me. Getting that win was brilliant and I boxed great.
“It put my confidence through the roof and kept the momentum going.”
