A person suffered a head injury after being hit by a police car in Bristol city centre. The collision took place on Bond Street at around 12.45am this morning (May 30).
Avon and Somerset Police say the vehicle was responding to an emergency call at the time of the collision. The pedestrian's injury is not believed to be life-threating or life-changing.
Road closures were put in place around Cabot Circus as emergency services, including fire crews, attended the scene. They were lifted at around 7am.

Police have now launched an investigation following the collision and will be making a mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC). They are asking for anyone with information to come forward.
Avon and Somerset Police said in a statement: "We will be making a mandatory referral to the IOPC as is standard procedure in these circumstances. If you witnessed the collision, or have any relevant footage, and have not yet spoken to an officer, please call 101 and quote reference 5223125716."
