Person rushed to hospital after Duke Street crash as police remain at scene

A person has been rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following a crash on Duke Street earlier today (June 1).

Emergency services, including multiple police vehicles, raced to the east end following the incident this morning.

The Scottish Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, a special operations response team (SORT) and a trauma team to the scene.

A patient was taken to hospital. The nature of their injuries is currently unknown.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 10.36 to attend an incident on Duke Street, Glasgow.

"One patient was transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”

The road has now re-opened and it's understood police remain at the scene.
