Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious three-vehicle accident in Cardiff left one person with life-changing injuries and several others injured. Emergency services were called to reports of a crash on the A4234 at 11.10pm on Friday (October 21).
It happened opposite Cardiff Prison, on the southbound carriageway between Cardiff Bay and the city centre. The carriageway was closed throughout the night and into Saturday morning as police carried out investigations at the scene.
Recovery teams were also on the scene to take the vehicles involved away. South Wales Police said that three vehicles had been involved, and one person had been seriously injured.
A spokeswoman said: "South Wales Police was called to reports of a road traffic collision, southbound of the A4234 at the junction of Adam Street (A4160) in Cardiff, at around 11.10pm yesterday (Friday 21 October).
"The collision involved three vehicles. One person suffered life changing injuries and several others minor injuries."
