A Dubliner had a lucky escape after an explosion in their home when a deodorant can came too close to a naked flame.
Dublin Fire Brigade crews were called to the scene when the window of a bedroom was blown out by the explosion.
They believe that the incident occurred when a candle came into contact with the can over a period of time.

Aerosols and deodorants are extremely flammable and when heated can explode instantly, which appears to have been the case here.
A DFB spokesperson explained: "Firefighters were called to an explosion in a house last night. It is believed that a deodorant can came in to contact with a candle over a period of time causing the can to heat and explode.
"The window of the bedroom was blown out as result. One patient treated for burns."
