A number of ScotRail journeys have been suspended or delayed after a person was hit by a train near Glasgow.
Emergency crews attended the incident between Dumbarton Central and Dalmuir at 10.56am this morning.
A man has been taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which are not life-threatening.
ScotRail has warned customers to expect cancellations and delays on a number of services as the rail operator works with emergency crews.
The firm said that services between Balloch and Airdrie, and between Edinburgh and Helensburgh Central via Airdrie may be cancelled, delayed or revised.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to the line near Kilpatrick at 10.56am today following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended and a man has been taken to hospital for treatment.
"Thankfully his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious."
