A person has died after being struck by a train near Paisley.
The British Transport Police confirmed that a person who was struck by a train between Glasgow Central and Paisley Gilmour Street at around 12.30 on Tuesday has died.
The person was pronounced dead at the scene and the incident is not being treated as suspicious.

Train services running from Glasgow Central to Paisley Gilmour Street were cancelled earlier this afternoon as emergency services attended the incident.
Scotrail confirmed the news on Twitter, advising travellers that replacement McGill's bus services would be in place while the line remained closed.
Scotrail confirmed around 3pm that railway lines were now operating again, posting: "Disruption caused by an incident earlier today between Paisley Gilmour Street and Glasgow Central has now ended.
"Services between Glasgow Central and Ardrossan Harbour/Ayr/Gourock/Largs/Wemyss Bay are no longer being affected."
A British Transport Police spokesman said: "British Transport Police were called to Hillington East railway station at 12.30pm today (1 February) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Officers and paramedics are in attendance. Sadly a person has been pronounced dead at the scene.
"This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the procurator fiscal."
