Perrion Winfrey has charges dropped after pretrial diversion program completion

The Cleveland Browns can now get the mind of second-year defensive tackle Perrion Winfrey back onto the football field. After completing a pretrial diversion program, Winfrey had his misdemeanor charges dropped as training camp remains about a month and a half out (according to Cleveland dot com’s Mary Kay Cabot).

In April, Winfrey was charged with assault on a woman he was currently dating at the time. This has not been Winfrey’s first incident that has landed him in hot water with the Browns. The ice is thin for Winfrey, but he will have every chance to make a name for himself and compete for a roster spot with the likes of Maurice Hurst and Trysten Hill.
