Perrie Edwards plans to launch her solo career will soon see her sign to the same record label as chart superstars Beyonce and Harry Styles.
Reports claim the 29-year-old Little Mix star is on the cusp of adding ink to a contract which will see her sign up to a music house and unleash tracks of her very own.
And reports claim Columbia Records are in advanced talks to sign her as a solo artist after Little Mix - Perrie’s band that she is part of alongside Jade Thirlwill, 30, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 31 - embarked on a hiatus last year.
And Perrie is said to be working hard on creating music - meaning fans could finally here some of her solo work soon.
An industry insider told The Sun on Sunday: “Perrie is super-talented and label execs think she could be a global star.
“They are very keen to ink a deal soon and talks have been ongoing.
“Perrie is bursting with ideas for solo material.”
Perrie herself recently opened up about her plans to to unleash solo music - giving the slightest hint of what it will be like, explaining: “It’s all going really well.
“I’m just having so much fun experimenting with different sounds. It’s really good.
“I’m so lucky, I’m working with such amazing people. I’m really grateful. I want to make music that I love.”
Fans of Little Mix could soon have a huge amount of new music to hear from the band as each member has plans to unleash solo work.
Last year reports emerged that Leigh-Anne had signed a huge record deal with Warner Music - who also release music for pop icons including Madonna and Dua Lipa.
Sources claimed at the time: “A number of labels were keen to bag Leigh-Anne but Warner seemed the best fit.
“She’s already been in the studio working on tracks for months."
And towards the end of last year, reports suggested Jade will sign with Atlantic Records - who have released music for artists including Charli XCX and Rita Ora.
A music insider said last November: “Jade’s been working super-hard on the new music and those who have heard the tracks say they sound amazing.
“Jade has already met with Sony to talk things through but has really been impressed by Atlantic — and all signs point to her going with them.
“She has held top-secret talks with them and it’s all really positive."
The trio will be hoping to avoid the disasters that have befallen former bandmate Jesy Nelson - who quit Little Mix in 2020, released a solo single that ignited a racism row, and parted ways with her record company before her album was even released.
