Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards has announced her engagement to Liverpool footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after he got down on one knee. The Black Magic and Sweet Melody hitmaker shared her excitement on Instagram as she posted romantic photos of the romantic beach proposal at sunset.
"Last night the love of my life got down on one knee and I said… YES!" she exclaimed. Bandmate Jade Thirlwall was one of the first to react to the news, sharing a crying with emotion emoji.
"Awwww congratulations," TOWIE star Lauren Pope said. And former Geordie Shore star and I'm a Celebrity queen of the jungle Vicky Pattison gasped: "Omgggggggggg!!!!! Congratulations gorgeous girl."

Last August the couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Axel. Perrie and Alex, both 28, began dating in November 2016, more than a year after she split from her former fiancé, former One Direction star Zayn Malik.
Perrie's happy news comes following the Little Mix Confetti tour coming to an end last month. The final concert was live streamed around the world from the O2 Arena in London on Saturday May 14.
Little Mix members Perrie, Jade and Leigh-Anne Pinnock confirmed in December they were taking break following the tour. "We wanted to let you all know that after the Confetti tour in April/May next year we are going to be taking a break from Little Mix," they said in a statement.
"It’s been 10 amazing years, a wonderful non-stop adventure, and we feel the time is right to take a break so we can recharge and work on some other projects. We can’t thank you enough for your love and never-ending support since the beginning. We love you all SO much."
The girl band were formed on The X Factor in 2011, making history as the first group to win the competition. Their hiatus comes after Jesy Nelson announced her exit from Little Mix in December 2020.
