By many accounts, the Jets are at least ranked in the top half of the league. Some even have them in the top 10 heading into the season. But 25th? That feels incredibly low. But that’s exactly where Pro Football Talk has the Jets in their pre-camp power rankings.
Now, one can make the argument this is purely out of spite. It’s no secret PFT and head writer and founder Mike Florio is not the biggest fan of quarterback Aaron Rodgers. To each their own, but that shouldn’t effect one’s ranking of the team as a whole.
At No. 25, the only teams PFT has ranked below the Jets are the Raiders, Titans, Giants, Commanders, Cardinals, Patriots and Panthers. Take that how you will.
This is just one set of rankings but it shows how one’s thoughts can completely change the landscape of a list. The Jets may be full of questions, but not to the point where they’re a bottom-ten team in the entire league.
