‘Perfect sense’ - Nottingham Forest fans agree with Steve Cooper’s decision ahead of Hull clash

Nottingham Forest fans have reacted as Steve Cooper rings the changes to the side for the final Championship game of the season.

With one eye on the upcoming play-off semi-final, the Forest boss has made seven changes for the trip up to Hull. Brice Samba, Joe Worrall, Philip Zinckernagel and James Garner all retain their places from the midweek loss against Bournemouth.

However, the rest of the team has been rested with the likes of Tobias Figueiredo and Jonathan Panzo starting. Full-back Richie Leryea has also been handed his first start for the club since arriving in January.

Key players including Djed Spence, Brennan Johnson and Scott McKenna have been named on the bench. It means that Cooper can call on them during the game if needed.

Following the announcement of the tram news, Forest fans have taken to social media to give their reaction, with all in agreement with the changes made. Here’s what just some had to say.

Ian Ross Davies : All good with me. Some fresh legs, plenty with points to prove and enough ‘regulars’ in there to keep some momentum going too.

Nice when you’ve actually some depth in the squad

Amanda : For the first time in such a long time, I’m not worried about the amount of changes. Still looks a decent side and will be good to see Panzo & Laryea get some real game time.

Also How good does it look to see Lolley on the starting 11

Carl Radford : That team doesn't surprise me but it is also very capable of getting 3 points today

#COYR #nffc

Andy Smeg Smith : Great to see other players getting minutes and resting others. Getting match ready and rested is what is needed for our lads to be ready for play off games.

Dave Holmes : Great to see some of the #NFFC squad get a well deserved opportunity and nice to go into a game for the first time in months with next to nothing on it.

TheSlack : Sensible to make the changes. A few looking like a rest might help them and a chance to get game time in the legs of others. Interested to see how Panzo does and Mighten from the start. No pressure with guaranteed 4th spot at the very least #NFFC

The Famous Club : Wise to rest some legs and test some legs #nffc

Dave NFFC : More changes than I expected...and still a strong side. Our depth is a big difference to when we ran out of steam 2 years ago.

Rollojase : IN cooper we trust, perfect opportunity for the other lads to show what they are made of. Lolley & co if they are on board which it seems they are. Then they should shine today

Red Dog Macca : Makes perfect sense to me, agreed they haven’t played together much &it may show, rather that though than pick up another injury or two to key players and further tire some players that already looked jaded #nffc perfect opportunity for 1 or 2 to force themselves into contention
