The brand new "better, fresher" Marks and Spencers in Moortown has opened its doors.
The supermarket branch officially reopened its doors on Tuesday, November 8, after a four week closure. The Harrogate Road spot was closed on October 9 and the supermarket transformation begun within 24 hours.
Floors were ripped out and fridges were removed as builders started from scratch. Now, the popular supermarket branch is "double the size" it was before following the grand makeover.

Store manager Gemma Milner and beloved Marks and Spencer's iconic mascot Percy Pig cut a ribbon to give customers the first look inside. The top-to-bottom transformation has been "designed with customers and local families at its heart," an M&S spokesperson said.
The idea behind the transformation was to create a space which would help to make shopping in store more convenient and inspirational. The shop now feels more like a market, M&S bosses say, and inside there is a new chilled drinks area, a new wine and spirits area, as well as neon lights giving the space a modern feel.
An M&S spokesperson said: "You'll find our fresh aisles brimming with all your M&S Moortown Foodhall, where you'll find our fresh aisles brimming with all your M&S favourites, from the juiciest of fruit and flavour-packed vegetables, to our new in store bakery which will be serving up freshly baked break and delicious pastries throughout the day."
Gemma Milner, Store Manager at M&S Moortown said: "The whole M&S team have been working really hard to deliver this new look for our store in Moortown and it’s been great to hear from customers how much they love all the new features like our fantastic new M&S Bakery.
"If you visit the store you’ll find a new spacious design across our Foodhall with great features like our new M&S Wine Shop and digital Click & Collect service which are all designed to make shopping with us as enjoyable and convenient as possible."
