Peppa Pig in Scots leaves couple in hysterics after wife accidentally buys wrong book

A Scots Peppa Pig book has sent TikTok into hysterics after a wife accidentally bought the wrong version.

Taking to TikTok addressing a tweet she came across, a user by the name of @misspunnypennie, who teaches the Scots language, showed off the hilarious book, titled Peppa's Bonnie Unicorn.

The tweet read: "My wife accidentally bought a Peppa Pig book in Scots and it’s infinitely superior to the original English", reports Glasgow Live.

Looking at what the it said, the Scots woman put on an exaggerated voice as she began reading the book out loud.

One page of the book reads: "Dae ye no think mebee it's Suzy's turn noo, Peppa?" asked Daddy Pig. 'Aye' said Peppa. 'Mon then, Suzy. Ye can hiv a wee shottie on Cuddly McTwinkie-Taes.'

"I dinnae want tae play at cuddies, but" siched Suzy, "I want tae play at unicorns."

"Peppa thocht for a meenit. "Well, Cuddly McTwinkie-Taes is a magic cuddy' she said. "She can turn intae a unicorn whenever she wants tae.'

"Aw' said Suzy. 'Awricht'"

In response to the TikTok, many people found the situation pretty funny and the words on the pages didn't help with it making the TikTok even funnier.

So far the video has received almost two million views, 300k likes and three thousand comments.

But as it turns out people didn't know Scots was in fact a language. Taking to the comment section they wrote: "Couple years ago I bought a Scots version of Harry Potter. Didn’t even know it was another language back then, thought it was just an accent."

Another added: "Wait this is a language? Genuinely thought it was just a accent/dialect. Defo better in Scots lol."

"Oh I'm replacing all my kids books with Scots versions immediately" said a third.
