Peppa Pig, beware - Bluey phenomenon is set to hit the UK and could steal her crown

Should the invulnerable Peppa Pig be shaking in her boots?

Like Peppa, the animation focuses on a family of animals, this time dogs.

Unlike Peppa, it's something adults might genuinely enjoy and relate to. The dad, Bandit, for example, is often seen with a can of beer (gasp!) and his run-ins with his daughters are half the fun of the show.

Bluey, the BBC reports, has received praise for its portrayal of fatherhood with some viewers even saying it's helped them to be better parents.

The show is aimed at kids age five to seven, and each episode follows six-year-old blue heeler puppy who lives in Brisbane with her parents and four-year-old sister, Bingo.
