Pep Lijnders has played down suggestions that his book has contributed to Liverpool's struggles on the pitch this season.
The Reds assistant manager released an inside look at the club's 2021/22 quadruple-chasing campaign in the summer, titled 'Intensity: Inside Liverpool FC'. But with Jurgen Klopp's side since enduring an inconsistent campaign, it had been suggested that the Dutchman's book gave away too much inside information to enable opposition sides to get the better of Liverpool.
Lijnders has rubbished such claims though, insisting his book is in the past as his shared his delight that at least Reds fans have been able to enjoy reading it.

"First of all, no regrets. I enjoyed every word and everything that was written," he told reporters ahead of Liverpool's League Cup clash with Derby County. "The moment it was published, for me it was done. It was the past.
"It didn't add interest to be honest because it was a new season, new problems. I hope that people enjoy it, I know that a lot of people do because I get good reactions from the inside and the outside.
"But you guys know really well, if you write something people will like it and people won't like it. That should never stop you to do these things.
"I'm proud that there's a book that gives inside information (but) not as much as people say. So no harm, there's no relationship with that.
"I hope that fans can read the admiration I have for this club, the feeling for the team and the love for Liverpool. If it inspires a few, I'm already happy. The reaction has been good."
