Pep Guardiola has been told that he must look at extending the stay of Riyad Mahrez at Manchester City.
Mahrez enjoyed his best goalscoring season at the Etihad in the last campaign managing to find the back of the net on 24 occasions. His form helped lead the Blues to the Premier League title as well as semi-final appearances in the FA Cup and Champions League.
However, the Algerian's contract expires at the end of the new season. With an extension having not yet been agreed, former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell has urged Guardiola to sort a deal to keep Mahrez at the club.

Campbell told Football Insider : " Mahrez has proved that he is a match-winner. He is also one of the ultimate squad players.
"There are times when he doesn’t start but when he comes off the bench he makes an impact on the game. He can make a real difference. Everyone seems to like him at City. He seems very comfortable there.
"You have to tie these guys down. You do not want to lose match-winners and Mahrez is certainly one of those."
Several players at City look set to be leaving the club this summer. Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling and Oleksandr Zinchenko are among those who are thought to be close to an exit.
