Welcome to the latest edition of the City Is Ours daily round-up, where we take a look at some of the Manchester City stories you might have missed.
City boss Pep Guardiola has never been shy in admitting his desire to manage at a World Cup and he could be offered the chance to fulfil his dream when he calls time on his City career.
Arsenal’s main transfer target has been linked with a whole host of European clubs, but it sounds like he's only interested in a move to the reigning Premier League champions.
And finally, Harry Kane has revealed his plans for the future.
Pep offered international role
The Mirror have reported Guardiola will be offered the chance to manage the Netherlands when he decides to leave City.
Pep has previously admitted he'd love to manage at a World Cup and given the fact he owes much of his success as a player and a manager to legendary Dutchman Johan Cruyff, the move seems to make a lot of sense.
Our view : No City fan wants to see Pep leave the club but when that time comes it would be nice to see him test himself at international level.
Guardiola's brilliant work in the transfer market has seen him assemble some of the best sides ever and so it would be interesting to see how he would fare in a job where buying players isn't part of the role.
Arsenal target wants City
Dusan Vlahovic has been taking Serie A by storm and is being strongly linked with a move to Arsenal, but apparently the Fiorentina hitman only has eyes for City.
As per la Repubblica , Vlahovic is 'holding out' for a move to City despite interest from both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. The report adds Vlahovic is desperate to play Champions League football and so that could have a say in where he moves.
Our verdict : Vlahovic is a sensational player and he'll surely make a huge impact wherever he goes.
With City's pursuit of Kane seemingly over and just about every elite club in Europe set to battle it out for Erling Haaland, Vlahovic could prove to be a decent option in the summer.
Kane outlines his goals
Kane had his heart set on a big move to City in the summer but Daniel Levy refused to cooperate.
It's unclear whether Guardiola still harbours hopes of signing the England captain, though Kane has hinted that he may possibly still want to move.
In an interview with Sky Sports , he said: "I just want to be playing at the highest level possible. My focus is fully on this season and trying to get as high up the league as possible.
"We are still in the FA Cup and are trying to win a trophy. I am not going to go into loads of detail about anything else going on. It is just about working hard for the team and trying to improve."
Our view : Let’s be honest, if Kane wants to play at the highest level possible he’ll need to move.
He’s a world-class striker who should be winning big trophies and playing European football regularly. It does seem the Kane to City saga is over but if City fail to sign Haaland or Vlahovic then you just never know.
