Pep Guardiola has dismissed talk of winning the treble with Manchester City and demanded laser-sharp focus on Newcastle United this weekend.
The former Barcelona boss was delighted with his side's attitude as they ran out 3-0 winners against Bristol City in the FA Cup to book their place in the quarter-finals of the competition. Guardiola's side are still fighting on three fronts with the Champions League, the Premier League and the FA Cup up for grabs.
Guardiola paid respect to Newcastle when asked about the treble and said: "I am only thinking of winning against Newcastle - that's it. Forget about anything else, when you start talking about that, you lose competitions.
"We are not ready to think about that. It's just Newcastle. The only thing I will say, and it's annoying, because I am saying it again, again, again, after what has happened in the last years, it's another year and we are back in there.
"There's three months left and we are still in three competitions. That is the biggest credit, we are there. I know we can't drop points in the Premier League because there is a team on top of us."
