Pep Guardiola sent derby warning and Jesse Lingard victim of £100k burglary during Man Utd game

Your Manchester United evening headlines for Saturday, March 5.

Pep Guardiola warning sent

Danny Mills believes Manchester City should be aware of five United threats when they meet on Sunday. It will be the 187th competitive meeting between the two as the Manchester derby poses a tricky prospect for the title-chasers and top four hopefuls.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been under the microscope for his recent performances, whilst Jadon Sancho - who has recently been named player of the month - has enjoyed more success since cementing his place in the first-team. Mills has highlighted the Reds duo as players Pep Guardiola should be aware of.

"My head says that Manchester City should win this comfortably because of the way that they play, the way that they dominate the ball," Mills told Genting Casino.

"But there is always an issue in that Manchester United have big-game players. Bruno Fernandes, Edinson Cavani, Cristiano Ronaldo, obviously. Jadon Sancho could step up, Paul Pogba has done it before."

Jesse Lingard victim of £100k house burglary

Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard has become the latest player to be victim of a home burglary in his home in Hal, Greater Manchester. The 29-year-old was away with the Reds during their 2-2 draw with Aston Villa in January.

This instance at Lingard's property is understood to have happened just four days before the break-in at Victor Lindelof's family home as United played Brentford.

It has been said that United are reviewing their security arrangements for players after the incidents involving Lingard and Lindelof. Whilst, it is understood the gang escaped with the goods before security was alerted.
