Pep Guardiola's Man City admission as Liverpool fans find out final opponents

Your Liverpool digest for Friday, May 6.

Pep Guardiola believes his Manchester City side will need a couple of days to come to terms with their Champions League defeat to Real Madrid on Wednesday night.

Karim Benzema's penalty then won it for the La Liga side to set up a final showdown against Liverpool in Paris at the end of this month. And speaking after the game, Guardiola admitted the defeat was 'tough' on his side, who he also believes will rise again.

One supporter, who had been watching the game on his phone until moments before the flight took off and was aghast at Riyad Mahrez securing what had appeared a final appearance for City, was roused from his slumber to be informed of the important news.
