Pep Guardiola plays camera director and other Man City moments missed vs Bournemouth

Manchester City were comfortably victorious at Bournemouth as the Blues returned to winning ways in the Premier League.

Julian Alvarez, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden were all on the scoresheet in the first half as the hosts struggled to defend City's flowing attacks. When Alvarez's strike, which was adjudged to be a Chris Mepham own goal, went in six minutes after the interval, the game was well and truly over as a contest.

However, Jefferson Lerma's strike in the 83rd minute made sure that a clean sheet was snatched away from the Blues once again. The Cherries' goal aside, it was the perfect result for City on the south coast.

Guardiola plays cameraman

It was a measure of Guardiola that he ensured that all of the praise went to his players following the thumping win at the Vitality. As City's players went over to thank their fans, Sky Sports' cameras focused on the Catalan boss.

But, instead of hogging the limelight, Guardiola made a point of turning the camera around himself to point it at his men who had, for the most part, performed admirably.

City abandon pre-match warm-up

Those who watch City regularly will have become accustomed to seeing the Blues' defenders going through a specific warm-up routine. This drill sees those who are playing in the back line practice their clearances, first touches and headers.

It is a good indication of how City will line-up in the match that follows but on this occasion the Blues' defenders spent time practicing their passing in a much more general training routine.

De Bruyne still feeling his illness

During his pre-match press conference on Friday, Guardiola claimed that Kevin De Bruyne had recovered enough from illness to be considered for a place in the starting line-up against Bournemouth. However, this never transpired as the coach said that he was only fit enough for the bench.

That was clear for all to see at the Vitality as the Belgian struggled with a cough. City's star midfielder remained an unused substitute due to the nature of the game and this allowed Maximo Perrone to make his debut in the second 45.
