Pep Guardiola makes Nottingham Forest point after Man City win

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has drawn a comparison between his side's match at Nottingham Forest and their win at Bournemouth.

City ran out 4-1 winners on the south coast after going 3-0 up in the first half. Julian Alvarez, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden were on the scoresheet, before an own goal from Chris Mepham gave the visitors a comfortable lead.

Guardiola's side returned to winnings ways after dropping points at the City Ground the previous week. The Reds held the reigning champions to a 1-1 draw, after a resilient performance saw Chris Wood equalise late in the game to claim a vital point.

After the game at the Vitality Stadium, Guardiola said: "We created maybe more chances in Nottingham but both games were really good.

"Both games we played to win. Unfortunately Nottingham could not happen because football is football."
