Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has admitted he is unsure if Erling Haaland will be available to face Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
The Norwegian striker completed the full 90 minutes of the Sky Blues' 4-0 win over Southampton on Saturday afternoon, though was kept on the bench during their 0-0 draw with FC Copenhagen on Tuesday evening as a precaution.
Haaland has scored a staggering 20 goals in 13 matches so far this season and would be a major loss for the reigning champions as he faces a battle on his hands to overcome a feeling of discomfort expressed after adding to his goalscoring tally on Saturday.

Issuing an update on the former Borussia Dortmund forward following City's Champions League clash with Copenhagen, Guardiola told reporters: “He finished the game against Southampton so, so tired and he didn’t recover well these two or three days.
“Yesterday was not good, a little bit better but not perfect and that’s why we decided to not take a risk. Many players didn’t start today because they were exhausted and tired and fatigued and had some niggles.
“Erling didn’t feel really good after the game against Southampton, Phil [Foden] had some disturbing problems, Bernardo told us yesterday he was so tired.”
Pressed further on whether Haaland will be an option for Sunday's Premier League showdown at Anfield, Guardiola told TV2 : “We will have to see tomorrow, I hope he will be ready.”
