Pep Guardiola gives verdict on Erling Haaland after Man City vs Liverpool FC
Pep Guardiola said he had no concerns over Erling Haaland after the striker missed a number of chances in the Community Shield defeat to Liverpool.
Haaland forced one save from Adrian and had a goal ruled out in the second half because the ball had already gone out before Phil Foden flicked it back to him, but blazed over from a few yards at the end of the match. In contrast, Liverpool new boy Darwin Nunez came off the bench to earn a penalty and scored their third goal.
While social media was instantly ablaze with Haaland's miss (as it was when Nunez missed against United a few weeks ago in a summer friendly), Guardiola had no issue with how City's No.9 performed against Liverpool. The manager pointed to his new forward's goal against Bayern Munich as an example of how quickly opinions can change.

Man City 2022/23 third kit 'leaked' online ahead of Liverpool FC Community Shield clash
Manchester City's 2022/23 third kit has been 'leaked' online according to reports.
City 's kit launches have had a lot of success this season with their kits with the home and away shirts both breaking records for the speed in which the items were sold, and fans have been quick to praise the new designs. To accompany the classic sky blue home shirt, the Blues revealed a red and black striped shirt for their away strip.
Unsurprisingly this 'leaked' third strip is a massive departure from the other two shirts. Predominantly illuminous yellow, the Puma-branded alternative shirt is emblazoned with three black stripes according to Esvaphane.
