Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Jack Grealish is absent from his squad to face Newcastle United due to injury.
Grealish replaced Phil Foden at the start of the second half in City's 4-0 drubbing of AFC Bournemouth, but sustained a knock, which Guardiola says he's not fully recovered from.
"We were lucky it was just a little damage to his ligament but not much. He feels better, but not ready for today," Guardiola told Sky Sports ahead of their visit to St James' Park.

The England international was expected to receive a feisty reception from the Geordie faithful following his comments about Miguel Almiron. During City's title celebrations, Grealish joked that Riyad Mahrez had played 'like Almiron' in Man City's final-day victory over Aston Villa in May.
It was a remark that angered most Newcastle fans who felt it was a disrespectful dig at Almiron, who starts today for the Magpies/
