Why Pep Guardiola was 'upset' with Erling Haaland after Man City vs Southampton
Pep Guardiola joked that he was unhappy with Erling Haaland because he didn't score a hat-trick in Manchester City's Premier League win over Southampton.
Haaland scored City's fourth after spurning two or three big chances - including one where he was one-on-one with Southampton goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu but fired against the post.
And Guardiola referred to a petition asking for Haaland to be banned from the Premier League when analysing his performance, and in particular that first-half miss.

Erling Haaland breaks Man City record
Erling Haaland scored his 15th goal of the Premier League season - his 20th in 13 games for Manchester City in all competitions - in City's defeat of Southampton on Saturday, breaking yet another record.
Haaland 's second-half strike - a snap finish following Joao Cancelo's cut-back - extended his scoring run to seven consecutive Premier League games, something no City player has ever done before.
The goal showcased the 22-year-old's insatiable hunger and elite mentality, as in the moments before he had fluffed two relatively simple - by his standards - chances. It looked like he might draw his first blank since the 4-0 defeat of Bournemouth back in August, but Haaland was having none of it.
Manuel Akanji explains why he has settled in so quickly at Man City
Manuel Akanji has credited Pep Guardiola and his teammates for helping him settle into life at Manchester City so quickly.
The defender arrived from Borussia Dortmund on deadline day for £15m to hand Guardiola more centre-half options amid the club’s injury woes. Aside from missing the 3-0 win at Wolves due to the birth of his second child, Akanji had played in every game that he was available for since signing before being benched against Copenhagen in midweek.
