Pep Guardiola confirms Kevin De Bruyne and Kyle Walker injury news after Atletico vs Man City

Manchester City are sweating on new injuries to Kevin De Bruyne and Kyle Walker after their intense Champions League clash at Atletico Madrid.

City drew 0-0 at the Wanda Metropolitan to progress 1-0 on aggregate in a tense atmosphere against a physical Atletico side. While they set up a semi-final against Real Madrid, City also picked up two injury concerns as De Bruyne and Walker had to be substituted.

After the game, manager Pep Guardiola confirmed the pair are injury doubts for the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley against Liverpool on Saturday.

De Bruyne was first to be substituted for City, and TV pictures showed a physio putting ice on his ankle on the bench, with the Belgian in discussion with his teammates.

Then Walker went to clear a ball only to go down under pressure, appearing to twist his ankle slightly. He received treatment before trying to carry on, but ultimately went down again and was replaced by Nathan Ake.

" We are in big trouble," said Guardiola when asked about the injury status after the game. "We played three days ago, now have a lot of injuries, I don't know what will happen in the next weeks.

"We are going to celebrate. It's the third time we're in semi-finals of the Champions League, a big success and happy to be there."
