Pep Guardiola can hand Nottingham Forest boost as transfer at 'final stages'

Here are your headlines...

Man City boss Guardiola can clear path for Forest to complete stunning Chelsea transfer

Nottingham Forest are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea centre-back Levi Colwill this summer as the Blues target more defensive reinforcements for Thomas Tuchel's squad.

The Daily Mail claim that Tuchel is yet to make a decision on Colwill's future, but the club's interest in other defenders suggests that the 19-year-old will struggle for game time at Stamford Bridge next season. Chelsea are said to be 'weighing up plans' for Armando Broja and Colwill as both young players aim to make an impression this pre-season.

Chelsea are thought to be closing in on a deal for Nathan Ake to bring their former defender back to the club from Manchester City. Meanwhile, a deal to bring in Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde is also expected to be thrashed out, as both clubs still need to agree on a fee.

Forest eye transfer swoop for Southampton striker after £17m deal

Nottingham Forest are reportedly 'lining up' a move to sign Southampton striker Che Adams this summer.

The 25-year-old has been linked with the Reds during previous transfer windows, and that is the case again following the promotion back to the Premier League. Taiwo Awoniyi has already been signed for a club-record fee this summer and debuted up front during Friday's pre-season friendly against Coventry City.

Head coach Steve Cooper is, though, said to 'want more firepower', with Lyle Taylor and Nuno da Costa the other options to lead the line against the Sky Blues in Spain. Adams would assumedly jump both of these alternatives, both of whom were loaned out last season, in the pecking order.
